Hummer is Dead
On Wednesday, 24 February, General Motors announced they will be discontinuing the production of their much loved (except by veggies) ridiculously large (unless you’re American) vehicle, the Hummer. An attempt at selling the product to a Chinese manufacturer failed, leading GM to shut down the branch altogether.
John Smith, GM vice president of corporate planning and alliances of GM said that “GM will now work closely with Hummer employees, dealers and suppliers to wind down the business in an orderly and responsible manner.”
This leaves GM with Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac and Buick. Which leaves South Africa with Chevy and a gap in the market. What are casinos going to give jackpot winners? Things just wont be the same without the white, bling encrusted, trophy Hummer rotating in the middle of the Sun City floor.
Good luck GM, my vote is Buick next for the chop.
