Top Gear Festival Durban
Petrol heads, motor junkies and recreational racers, the event of the year draws nearer (and no, not that silly thing the Mayans were raving about). Top Gear Festival – due to hit Durban’s shores on 16/17 June – has got our hearts pumping faster than one of Johnny’s Rotis.
Due to be the biggest live event Top Gear have ever staged, the Moses Mabhida Stadium, People’s Park and Street Circuit ‘stages’ are set for a show that is sure to enthral and inspire. In front of their largest audience to date, in one of the World’s most modern stadiums, and influenced by the Olympic fever currently sweeping their homeland, Jeremy, Richard and James will host an arena show of gargantuan proportions – all with a sports-themed twist.
Out on the track, Top Gear’s first-ever Street Circuit plays host to tons of motoring festivities including a 90-minute track show hosted by Tiff Needell. Tiff, who wowed the audience last year in Johannesburg, is once again a welcomed addition to the Top Gear festival and will surely receive the warmest welcome in Durban (the warmest place to be).
And if that’s not enough for you there’s even more motortainment as Motorsport South Africa stage their Westbank series out on the Top Gear track. Petrol heads who still need more can head to the motoring exhibition packed with some of the world’s greatest supercars, classics and motoring memorabilia.
Top Gear fans were given further reason to get excited about Top Gear Festival today as special VIP Super Fan tickets were launched. The new package, developed to satisfy even the most ardent of fans, allows them to lap up every aspect of the festival…with a VIP twist. At R1995 it’s the most expensive of the Festival tickets available but the perks include premium seats in the Live Stadium Show and access to exclusive enclosures with hospitality, parking and even a VIP gift.
Tickets are on sale and range from R250 for a bronze ticket to R995 for a platinum ticket. For more information on ticket prices or to book visit www.itickets.co.za or www.topgearfestival.co.za
Hurry as I believe the tickets are selling fast and you don’t want to find yourself among the biscuits standing outside trying to get a glimpse of the awesomeness that is Top Gear.
