The Johannesburg International Motor Show
The Johannesburg International Motor Show is fast approaching, with October just around the corner.
This year’s show promises to showcase the latest offerings from manufacturers, with exciting news that many of the vehicles and concepts joining us in Johannesburg will arrive just days after the conclusion of the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Whether you have petrol coursing through your veins or are simply interested in the family runabout of the future, the Johannesburg International Motor Show promises to have something for you.
From budget beaters to the supercars that dreams are made of, manufacturers from around the world will be pulling out all the stops to entice and entertain visitors to their stands across a number of halls at the Expo Centre.
If you are searching for adrenalin, then this year’s show is going to be even more interactive than ever. Take it slow over the obstacles of an off-road course, or if sideways is your thing then experience the skill of drifting, or marvel at the control of a rally driver.
The Expo Centre has even more to offer this year following a world class R30 million refurbishment programme that puts it on a par with some of the finest exhibition centres in the world and is set to ensure a world class experience for visitors and exhibitors alike.
Some of the manufacturers and vehicles on show include three hybrid models from Honda; namely the CR-Z, Insight and the Jazz, which will highlight Honda green Integrated Motor Assist technology.
Nissan has announced that they will display the Nissan Leaf, recent winner of the European Car of the Year. Land Rover South Africa has confirmed that the Range Rover Evoque will be on display. While BMW has hinted that the breathtaking BMW 6 Series will grace their show area. And since BMW don’t go anywhere without their little sister, news from MINI is that the MINI Coupé Concept will be on their floor.
More details can be found at www.joburgmotorshow.co.za and tickets will go on sale at Computicket in September.
