One Path Africa: Update

One Path AfricaFollowing their introduction to South Africa, Africa, and the world on various radio stations, social networking websites and of course via their media partner DriveRSA, we decided to do a follow up and see how the guys are doing, with the start of their expedition edging closer every day.

It was no surprise to find a couple of big events were on the cards. The first of which is a Bungee Jump event to be held on the 27th of November in Krugerdorp at the Sterkfontein Heritage Lodge.

The aim of this event is to unite the young people of South Africa in sporting and adventure activities. Team Africa hopes to interact with the people attending and to encourage everybody to take part in activities that will build them up, give them perspective on life and in doing so unite all races, genders and cultures. Oh and of course to Bungee jump.

For those who wish to support the cause without the accompanying adrenalin rush, there will be a market with a number of local entrepreneurs selling artwork, jewellery, clothing etc.

Also on the cards is a golf day and benefit dinner that will be held at Observatory Golf Club in Johannesburg on the 3 December, and there is talk of SA’s most popular sports stars, celebrities, artists, and the who’s who of the media world joining in.

This event will aim to raise funds for the initiative, and the team would love to have as many people there as possible. The event will be covered on 702 Talk Radio and Classic FM.

Finally, what is an event without a major send-off party? Watch this space for updates from the team before they embark on their remarkable journey.

Team Africa, here’s to you! All the best with the good work, and we look forward to covering your journey, and bringing your stories to the world, as you drive through Africa.

PS. Follow One Path Africa on Facebook and you could win tickets for the bungee jump.
